Weekly Activities

Arts Wall

Become a Cosmo Centre member and display your art work on the art wall in the small hall, on a monthly rotation shaded with other artists.

Book Club

The book club is held at the reading nook and is on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 2:00pm.

Canasta

Canasta is held in the small hall every Thursday at 1:30 pm. Enjoy the fun card battle amongst these die hard card players. It’s a lot of fun!!

Cornhole

Cornhole is a growing professional sport and new to the Cosmo Centre. Stop in on Fridays at 10:30.

Crib – weekly

New to the Cosmo Centre is weekly crib on Fridays at 1:00pm.

Crib Tournament

The Crib Tournament is in the small hall and held monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm. It’s a fun time to get out and participate in a team activity. Enter as a team or single. The cost is $10/person and includes snacks and coffee. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Euchre

New to the Cosmo Centre is Euchre on Thursdays at 10:30am.

Fitness Class

Fitness classes take place in the large hall at the same time as indoor walking. The activity is on Wednesdays at 10:45am. Bring your own exercise band for some of the exercises.

Fitness Room

The Cosmo Centre now has a Fitness Room located in the upper level mezzanine area of the large hall. Equipment available for use are: treadmill, bowflex, elliptical machine, rowing machine, recumbent bike, free weights and bench. At this time, it’s open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.

Indoor Walking

Indoor walking is in the large hall fit in around other scheduled activitie.

Walking times:
Mondays – 10:45 am – 12:45 pm

Tuesdays – 8:15 am – 9:00 am and 11:30 am – 12:45 pm

Wednesdays – 10:45 am – 12:45 pm

Thursdays – 8:15 am – 9:30 am and 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm

Friday – 10:45 am – 12:45 pm

Jam Session

Come out and enjoy the music and dancing every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.

Library

Stop in to the Cosmo’s ‘Take a Book Leave a Book’ library. Equally, if you’re interested in just taking a book, please leave $0.25 a book at the office or in the donation jar on the bookshelf. Please have a seat and relax awhile as you read and listen to the music.

Line Dancing

Line dancing is held in the large hall once a week on Thursday morning. Come out and dance to your hearts content.

Line Dancing – Beginner

Just starting out or simply want a low key line dance? Try out the beginner line dancing on Mondays at 10:45pm.

Military Whist Tournament

Military Whist rotates between the Cosmo Senior Citizens’ Center that the Timothy Eaton Gardens Center. At the Cosmo, it’s a huge event and is held in the large hall. Generally, the months at the Cosmo Center are: February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Pickleball

Pickleball in the large hall is offered year round. There are two courts available and MANY time allotments. See the Monthly Calendar for up to date times.

Shuffleboard

Shuffleboard is offered in the large hall and has 5 sheets available. If you’re a curler from previous years, this is the perfect place to be. It’s in out of the cold 🙂
